Staycation

July 4th weekend was amazing. Since the 4th landed on a Thursday, Lawton took that Friday off so he could have four days at home. Oh how I love staycations. Get some things done around the house, rest and go out for some fun. For the holiday we went to the beach with our sweet friends, the Sylvias. Heather and I have had the joy of being pregnant together through the hot summer while our toddlers wear us out. Luckily our husbands are great with the kids and love to play...so we could mostly relax on the beach;)

July 5th was our 5 year anniversary. Lawton surprised me with something sweet and thoughtful, then we went to dinner. The Houghs saved the day and took Weslyn for us for a few hours. She had the time of her life playing with their kids and going to Chick-fil-A, or as Weslyn calls it, "Chick O'lay".

Oh how lucky we are to live to close to the beach!

Did I mention we brought Kobe? We probably are never going to another
beach again after we found out that you can bring dogs to Atlantic beach.

 We finished the weekend with going to the pool, watching movies and of course getting a few chores done around the house. Overall a wonderful staycation. Our last one as a family of four. :)
